Nathan Lashbrooks, son of Wm. & Zeruah (Mitchell) Lashbrooks, was born at Hartford Washington County, NY, Janurary 15, 1800. He moved to St Lawrence county with his parents in 1820 and married Laura, daughter of David Peck, October 10, 1822. They had four sons and four daughters, who lived and three children who died in childhood. They moved to Wales in April 1848, where they have lived ever since as farmers and have seen their children settled all around them, and all are yet living, except David, the eldest son, who died December 9, 1882, aged 56 years. Mr Lashbrooks worked on the Clinton canal, when it was building, from Troy to Whitehall NY., in 1816 and 1817. His father, Wm. Lashbrooks Jr. was in the revolutionary War from the battle of Bunker Hill 1775 to Yorktown 1781, when Lord Cornwallis surrendered. He was a fife major and in after life a pensioner. David Peck was also in the same war. Mr.& Mrs. Lashbrooks are still living and enjoying good health. He is 85 years old and she is 82. | Lashbrooks, Nathaniel S (L) (I736)
