  • Notes 
    • • Enlisted in Company G of the 10th Michigan Infantry on October 23, 1861, at Memphis, Michigan, for 3 years (Discharged March 23, 1862, at Flint, Michigan)
      • Re-Enlisted in Company I, 4th Infantry, September 27, 1864 at Wales for 3years, age 40. Mustered October 5, 1864. Contracted rheumatism and typhoid fever while in Murfreesboro, Tennessee in December of 1864. Served as an ambulance / supply driver from February 23, 1865 until being furloughed to go home on November 15, 1865. Discharged to date of January 4, 1866, according to the provisions of the act of Congress approved July 5, 1884.
