- Went to Crestline, OH, and had several children. He is found in the1870 Ohio Census and resided in Adrian. Also found in the 1880 OhioCensus residing at Crestline. His death certificate shows he died atCrestline in the county of Crawford. His widow, L. Mary, applied forbenefits on Sept. 21, 1918. He is shown as a private for the 27thRegiment Infantry, in New Haven, and enlisted Sept. 10, 1862. He washonorably discharged on July 27, 1863.
