  Elsie was very talented at playing the piano. She played for her high school choir and church choirs. During many years of financial hardship, her earnings as a private piano teacher got her family through the really difficult periods. She also had a beautiful soprano voice. She had more inner strength and insight than the average person, which was the reason so many people sought her out for guidance and friendship. More than anything else, she was a strong & faithful christian. Her beliefs and teachings were not harsh or judgmental,but understanding, caring, and loving.
