Notes |
- After the death of his wife Susanna Dorst (Durst, Doarst), William moved to Lewistown, PA where he married again and had one son by the name of James (b. 2.17.1851) to his second marriage. There is no other knowledge of this 2nd marriage except that she seemed to have all of his children with him. He later moved West (perhaps to Peru, Miami Co., IN) and no further word is known of him.
It is believed he was a professor in Paris, France. He was bitten by a Titsee Fly.
1860: Census- Shows, Susannah, James E @ 8months; David @ 17 months
He was a veteran of the Civil War (a private in Company A. Reg. 191 inPA, M554, roll 19).
