Young, Charlene K., Freeland, Michigan. Passed away Sunday morning, December 5, 2004, at her home in Freeland after a lengthy illness at the age of 64 years. Charlene was born to the late Raymond A. and Mary (Hart) Nestell and has resided in this are all of her life. Charlene was employed at Covenant Health Care-Mackinaw as a Surgical Technician and was an avid quilter, crafter, painter and reader. She was a lioness with the Lions Club. She also provided care to those injured in the Carrollton/Zilwaukee grainery explosion, but her greatest passion in life was her family. On August 29, 1964, she married Verne L. Young, he survives her. Also surviving are six children, Debra Plesko of Freeland, Bill Skimson of Freeland, Michael (Vicki) Skimson of Freeland, Mary Farless of Freeland, Michelle (Brian) Dowker of Freeland, Dale (Jamee) Young of Sanford; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A son-in-law, Michael Farless, predeceased Charlene. Funeral and committal services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2004, at the Cunningham/Taylor Funeral Home, Freeland. Rev. James Fravel will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw. Friends may call at the Cunningham/Taylor Funeral Home, 310 E. Washington, Freeland, on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Midland Hospice/VNA or the donor's favorite charity. | Nestell, Charlene K. (I1808)
